Have you ever felt the gentle nudge of God’s purpose stirring in your heart, like a flame waiting to be fanned into a radiant blaze of fulfillment? Let’s delve into this divine journey together, armed with, truth, scriptural wisdom, and a touch of divine insight.
Proverbs 29:18 reminds us that “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” This ancient wisdom holds true even today, resonating with the core essence of why having a vision is crucial in our lives. Picture your vision as a seed planted by God in the garden of your heart, waiting for you to nurture and cultivate it with faith and obedience. Just as a gardener tends to his plants with care and diligence, likewise must we tend to the vision God has entrusted to us.
In the book of Habakkuk 2:2-3, we find the perfect blueprint for birthing our God-given vision: “Then the Lord replied: ‘Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.'” Just as Habakkuk was instructed to write down the vision clearly, we too must articulate our vision in a tangible manner, allowing it to guide our actions and decisions.
Approaching life with a sense of vision, makes a whole world of difference, on the quality of our choices in life. For instance, if someone believes they are called to save lives as a doctor, they won’t be found encouraging others to smoke or get addicted to drug abuse. Why? Simply because they their calling to save life’s prohibits them from destroying it.
As we navigate the twists and turns of life’s journey, we may encounter storms and obstacles that threaten to extinguish the flame of our vision. Yet, in the midst of adversity, we are reminded of the words of Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Knowing that God is actively at work with you, is your surest anchor in Birthing God’s Vision in your life. You may feel edged in on all sides, but God is saying “I Am for you, because I called you, and chose you and appointed you for this specific task, therefore I will not leave you nor forsake you.” Be strengthened therefore, for God’s promises are steadfast and true. He will never abandon you nor forsake you, as you walk in obedience to His calling.
In the New Testament, you find the exhortation of the apostle Paul in Philippians 3:13-14, “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Let us take a cue from Paul’s relentless pursuit of his calling, letting go of past failures and disappointments, and pressing onward towards the divine prize awaiting us.
Faith is an active force when birthing God’s Vision for your life. Just as Mary had to patiently believe God’s Promise to her was real and would manifest, you also must believe with a resolute assurance of Faith, that God’s Call in your life is real and would come to pass. An undulating faith cannot birth a vision, much as a wavering woman cannot birth her child. If she refuses to keep the conception of that child, she certainly can’t birth it. Thus, Luke 1:45 says “Blessed is she that believes for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.” So Believing and acting in agreement with your believe regarding your vision is key to it coming to fruition.
Are you called to a media ministry for instance, then believe it with all your heart and set to work on it. Get started with simple steps of Faith such as:
- Asking God about it in full detail. For instance what would it be Called? What genre should it be? What’s your target 🎯 Audience? What’s your message? What the timing for your launch. These are few directions to help you get started.
- Praying about your Vision drives your passion and sets the much needed spiritual blueprint for it to become a successful venture. In God’s Kingdom structure, the success of any worthwhile venture rises and falls on Prayer. Prayer is simply an active communication with God where we engage in a dialogue of speaking and listening to him. So through prayer we decree the establishment of God’s Purposes on the earth to be fulfilled in our lives and it becomes established because we said so according to His Word. Job 22:28 says “You will decree a thing and it shall be established.” Also Matthew 16:19 says whatsoever we bind and loose on the earth (as we pray) would be done.
- Creating an online presence and a social media account would certainly be your next expression of Faith, based on God’s timing for you. This gives credence to your Faith in God and your prayers to Him as you listen 👂 to every direction He gives you in each practical step you take. Establishing an online presence for that vision isn’t about pleasing the Jones, rather it is about giving a voice and an identity to your calling. When this takes place, by the leadership of the Lord in your life, you have begun something new and divine.
One essential aspect of birthing your God-given vision, is seeking wise counsel and mentorship from seasoned spiritual guides. Proverbs 15:22 advises us, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers, they succeed.” Embrace the wisdom that comes from seeking guidance from those who have walked the path of purpose before us. Their insights and experiences can illuminate our way and provide valuable support as we navigate the challenges of fulfilling our vision.
